Celebrating a Successful Homeschool Academy Event: “YOU NEED SPACE!”
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent program, “YOU NEED SPACE!”, which took place on September 30th at the National Naval Aviation Museum. This engaging event was part of our Homeschool Academy: The Museum Classroom initiative, designed specifically for homeschool families with children aged 5 to 18.
Exploration and Learning
With 60 eager participants, the morning was filled with hands-on activities that brought the fascinating concepts of space flight to life. Families enjoyed a specialized, age-appropriate tour of the museum, focusing on space flight. The interactive sessions allowed children to engage directly with the science behind space exploration, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.
The excitement didn’t stop there! After the main event, families had the opportunity to continue their exploration of the museum and participate in our Flight Adventure Deck Tours, which highlighted the incredible science of flight.
Looking Ahead: Upcoming Session
We are excited to announce that this was the second session of our Homeschool Academy series, with a third session titled “The Magic of Flight” scheduled for October 28, 2024. Participants will have the chance to explore the four fundamental forces of flight: lift, thrust, drag, and weight, through fun, interactive exercises that make learning exciting!
