Celebrating the Month of the Military Child at the National Naval Aviation Museum

April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the resilience, strength, and sacrifices of military children who grow up in a world defined by change and service. At the National Naval Aviation Museum, we’re proud to show our appreciation for these incredible young people with special promotions designed to give them a memorable experience.

Free Admission to a Giant Screen Movie for Military Children

This April, the National Naval Aviation Museum is offering military children (17 and under) the opportunity to enjoy a giant screen movie free of charge. The museum’s Giant Screen Theater showcases thrilling films about aviation, history, and the spirit of military service, making it a perfect outing for children who want to learn more about the history that shapes their lives.

To redeem this offer, simply have the child accompanied by a paying active duty or retired service member (or their spouse), who must present a valid active duty or retired Department of Defense ID. The promotion allows for up to four children per military parent or guardian, making it a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy a fun and educational experience together.

A Special Offer at the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum

While you’re in Pensacola, make sure to stop by the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, also participating in the Month of the Military Child. The lighthouse is offering free admission to all military children (17 and under) when they visit with an active duty or retired service member. The only requirement is that the accompanying adult presents a valid Department of Defense ID and mentions the promotion. This offer is also valid for up to four children per military parent or guardian, so it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the beauty and history of one of Pensacola’s most iconic landmarks.

A Month of Gratitude and Fun

The Month of the Military Child is a time to show gratitude to the children who face unique challenges with grace, from frequent relocations to the emotional toll of having a parent deployed. This April, we invite military families to visit the National Naval Aviation Museum and the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum for a fun, educational, and memorable experience that celebrates the contributions of military children everywhere.

Thank you to all the military children for their strength and support. We look forward to seeing you at the museums this month!
