We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Spring 2025 Homeschool Academy sessions at the National Naval Aviation Museum! After the success of our previous sessions, we’re bringing back some of our most popular topics from Spring 2024, allowing more students and families to join in on the fun and learning. These sessions are designed to inspire curiosity, enhance learning, and connect students to the rich history of naval aviation. Here’s what we have in store for you:
Session 1: The Scale of History
Date: February 24, 2025 | 10:00 AM to Noon
Registration opens: February 4, 2025
Cost: $5 per participant (nonrefundable)
Our February session will immerse participants ages 5-18 in the fascinating world of aircraft and carrier models. Students will have the opportunity to explore the scale of history through hands-on activities. Each participant will construct age-appropriate models and learn about the essential parts of the aircraft that have shaped our naval aviation history. This is a perfect opportunity to inspire young minds with the awe-inspiring legacy of naval aviation and spark a passion for history and craftsmanship.
Session 2: Mission: Robotics
Date: March 31, 2025 | 10:00 AM to Noon
Registration opens: March 4, 2025
Cost: $5 per participant (nonrefundable)
In March, we’re taking it to the next level with Mission: Robotics! This session is designed for participants ages 5-18 and will dive into the basics of simple coding and robotics. Through engaging challenges, students will work together to complete tasks like training exercises, rescue missions, and reconnaissance. The goal is to introduce kids to the exciting world of STEM and inspire problem-solving skills that could be useful in everything from aviation to robotics and beyond.
Session 3: Fully Charged!
Date: May 19, 2025 | 10:00 AM to Noon
Registration opens: May 6, 2025
Cost: $5 per participant (nonrefundable)
Our May session will electrify students with the basics of electricity. In Fully Charged!, participants ages 5-18 will explore key concepts of electricity and complete age-appropriate electricity projects. This hands-on session is designed to spark curiosity and excitement about how electricity powers the world around us, from naval aircraft to everyday devices.
